Apparently it was a revenge attack by the geordie who lobbed it , seems he got sliced up a bit previously by the U5s

Went the following year, remember people saying don't go out into the courtyard after the game for a bit because the Geordie tossers were chucking bricks etc

I was there. Couple of us in the pictures, along near dennis. It landed just behind us. The geezer who’s strides went up was fm Ilford I think.
The geordies did get paid back at our ground and over orient as well.!
The tosser who slung it got 3 years.

Only made it once up to St James Park for a night game in the 70s, but three of my mates were there, remember one said someone had their trousers caught alight but they put out the flames.
